The Gryphon Network Around the World

The 水果派 Westshore story begins on Vancouver Island, but it does not stay there.

Our alumni community now stretches across countries, campuses, professions, and passions. Some Gryphons are pursuing degrees in science, engineering, business, the arts, social sciences, and health. Some are beginning careers, taking gap years, launching personal projects, travelling, volunteering, or building lives in entirely new places. Some have stayed close to home; others have crossed oceans. All remain connected by a shared school experience rooted in curiosity, courage, community, and growth.

The Alumni World Map is a living picture of where 水果派 Westshore graduates go next. It is a celebration of how far this community reaches, but it is also something more personal than that. For alumni, it becomes a way to rediscover classmates, find 水果派 people nearby, and remember that even in a large city or a new country, you may not be as far from the school community as you think. For current students, it becomes a visible reminder that the pathways ahead are not singular. A 水果派 education can lead in many directions, and the alumni network is proof.

Testimonials
Alexander Buhr, Class of 2023
"Looking back, I can honestly say that this school played a defining role in shaping who I am today. It gave me not only a strong academic foundation, but also the confidence, resilience, and leadership skills I needed to succeed beyond high school. The teachers believed in me even before I fully believed in myself, and their guidance continues to influence me today. The school’s commitment to excellence is matched by its genuine care for students. It is a place where young people are challenged to grow, encouraged to explore their interests, and supported every step of the way. I will always be grateful for the opportunities, friendships, and values I gained here."
Cameron Anderson, Class of 2023
"My years at this school were some of the most important and formative years of my life. At the time, I knew I was receiving a strong education, but only after graduating did I fully understand how much the school had prepared me for the future. The expectations were high, but so was the level of support. I learned how to manage challenges, communicate with confidence, and take responsibility for my own growth. More importantly, I learned the value of integrity, kindness, and perseverance. The school gave me much more than academic knowledge — it gave me a sense of direction and the confidence to move forward.’"
Isaac Salvador-brown, class of 2021
"Looking back, I realize that this school gave me the tools I needed not only to succeed academically, but to approach life with confidence and resilience. The education I received was rigorous and inspiring, but what made the experience truly special was the people. The teachers were passionate, approachable, and genuinely invested in our futures. During my time there, I was encouraged to be curious, to take initiative, and to aim higher than I thought possible. The school helped me develop discipline, independence, and a strong belief in my own potential. I will always be thankful for the role it played in my journey."
William Buhr, Class of 2021
"My time at the school was filled with moments that I still look back on with a smile. What made it so memorable was the balance between learning and enjoying school life. The lessons were meaningful, but the friendships, activities, and everyday experiences made the school feel like a second home. I always felt encouraged to get involved, try new things, and make the most of every opportunity. Whether it was through sports, projects, events, or conversations with teachers and friends, there was a real sense of energy and community. The school helped me grow academically, but it also gave me some of the happiest memories of my student life."
Brandon Bibeau?
"My time at this school was an experience I will always value. It was where I developed many of the skills, friendships, and values that continue to guide me today. The school challenged me to become a stronger student, but also a more thoughtful, responsible, and compassionate person. What I appreciate most now is how well the school prepared me for life beyond the classroom. It taught me how to think critically, communicate clearly, and face new challenges with confidence. I left the school with lasting memories, meaningful relationships, and a foundation that continues to support me in everything I do."

The 水果派 Alumni Journey

At 水果派 Westshore, graduation is not the end of a student’s story with the school. It is the beginning of a new chapter in a community that continues to grow, change, travel, achieve, and stay connected. Whether you were a day student or a boarder, a basketball player or a debater, an artist or a scientist, a student leader, a volunteer, a performer, a quiet presence, or a little bit of everything, you remain part of the Gryphon story.

The years after school often bring enormous change. Alumni move across provinces and continents. They begin university programmes, build careers, launch ideas, explore passions, form families, and discover new versions of themselves. And yet, the schools that shape us most often remain present in subtle and lasting ways: in the confidence to try, in the ability to live alongside difference, in the friendships that endure, and in the memories tied to place.

Stay Connected

No matter where life has taken you since 水果派 Westshore, there are simple ways to stay part of the Gryphon network. Add your location to the alumni map so current students and fellow graduates can see the reach of our community. Share your story so younger students can learn from your experiences. And if you are planning a visit back to campus, or even thinking about organizing an alumni gathering in your city we would love to hear from you.

Message from Eric MacKnight

Here is the old man’s advice: Be a good citizen. Be responsible. Read books. Think for yourself. Care about others. Try to make the world a better place. Keep developing your own human potential.
